Keeping up with the Jone's

I just love these little girls ... and so does Sam. We like their big brother Ryan too.
Jen and I took the little ones to the Children's Museum and had a good time.

Sam and Katie pretend to be hair stylist.

My little handy man.

Jen and the kids make a movie in front of the green screen. Not sure what Sam is doing here?
Checking out the frogs and lizards.
Monkeying around.

I love the smile - Miss. Photogenic.

We had a fun day together. There is never a dull moment, at this age you never know what they are going to say.

Catching up with Cousins

Dan and I went to our good friends "Lauren and Jake's" wedding on the Cape in early October. This was a great opportunity for Sam to catch up with his cousins. Jen and Jeff spent the weekend on the Cape too. The boys had a good time together.
Uncle Jeff gave the boys a bath together on Friday night. Jeff took some very cute video footage of the boys playing together. I will see if I can get a hold of it and post it at the bottom.
I am sure Sam will be excited that I have posted a naked picture of him here.
Just being silly.

Watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - Sam's favorite show.
Uncle Jeff put Dora the Explorer on his iPhone for the boys. Sam asked to watch Dora for the next week. I can't find Dora ON DEMAND though.
Baby Bohdi playing on the floor.
Checking out the big boys.
Such boys - can you see the sweat?

Having FUN with Grandma and Grandpa Light

We are so blessed to have Dan's parents an hour south of us. They have come up during the week to take care of Sam. It is very helpful on days when daycare is closed or if I have to work on a Wednesday. Sam really does enjoy his time with them - in case it isn't obvious in the pictures below. Thank you Jinny for sending them along.
One of Sam's first loves - BALLS. Check out that smile.
Getting some basketball advice from Grandpa.

Another one his favorites - slam dunking with Grandpa.
Relaxing after a game of B-ball.
Riding his JEEP.
Just a few of FUN things Sam does with Grandma and Grandpa while mommy and daddy are at work.
Thank you Don and Jinny - you guys have been lifesavers!

Trip to AZ in early Sept. 2010

Sam and I took a trip to Arizona in early September to visit Pap and Dahma Daw (Grandma McGraw). It was HOT! We had a nice time.
We flew non-stop this time around. Not sure what I prefer a lay over (time to run around the airport) or straight through. He was great until the middle of the flight ... he spent our 3 (of 5) screaming. And wouldn't you know it, he fell asleep when we started making a descent. Then he had the nerve to be upset at me for waking him up when we had to get off the plane (seriously, we were the only ones left on the plane before I even tried to move him).

The day we got into town, Sam wanted to go to the park to feed the ducks.
Dahma and Sam race down the slides at the park.
They are such buddies.
Weeee! On the swings.
One of our little adventures landed us in the middle of the desert at an apple orchard ... yes, an apple orchard. Boy, was it hot that day.
Cows ... one of them was tagged with the name Sam (or was it Luke), anyway it was a family name.

Of course we had to stop and visit the horses.
Dahma and Sam make a Fort in the living room.
This is the little boy that I will be traveling back to Boston with for the next 5 hours straight.
Saying good bye is never easy!
Some of the pictures are out of order.
Being silly at the table ... I think he was eating a peanut butter bagel.
Dahma loves to play dress up with Sam even though he is a BOY. She has a bag of goodies that consist of old handbags, necklaces, bracelets, etc. We hope Baby Light #2 is a girl so she can dress her up too. By the way, Sam LOVES every minute of it.
I didn't get a lot of pictures this trip, I was feeling a little out of sorts ... I think I was about 10 weeks pregnant at that point. So happy those days are behind us.

Coming Soon! Baby Light #2

Exciting news from the Light House! Sam will be a big brother in April 2011!
We found out July 29th. So it seems like I have been pregnant forever now. The first trimester was HELL ... I have never been so nauseous and exhausted for that long in my life. August was a blur and so was most of September. I am feeling GREAT now, it is nice to have some of my energy back.
Sam is excited too! He would like a baby sister.
This picture was taken very early in the morning on August 22, 2007 when we found out we were pregnant with Sam. I wasn't blogging back then, so I thought I'd add it now. It is scary how much you gain and age in 3 years.

I can't get over how young we look.
