Happy Birthday Sammy Light

Today our baby turns two - here are some pictures from his party this weekend.
My mom has Sam talking up a storm. He goes around telling people that he is Dammy Ight (Sammy Light) and when you ask him how old he is he will tell you TWO. Grandma also has Sam calling her Grandma McGraw (as Sam says Dahma Daw) she loves to hear him say it, so he says it over and over to get her to laugh. This kid really does love the time he has with his Dahma Daw.
I think this picture is of Dan's birthday celebration on the 21st. Sam enjoyed helping his Daddy blow out the candles.
Ice Cream Cupcakes!
Sam hangs with his cousin Asher before everyone makes it to the party. Good practice for sharing.
Or maybe not.
Mischa and Zach play in the sandbox.
Sam enjoys a cold beverage in his Adirondack chair.
What can I say, it was a hot day.

Can he really be TWO already. All I can say is that it feels like yesterday.
The closest thing we got to a family portrait on his birthday.

I am so proud of myself. I wasn't sure I could do it, but I did. My gosh, how hard can it be to make balls out of cupcakes. Not too bad.

Birthday Boy!
And his off! Look at that chubby chocolate face.
Water Balloons. We have been so blessed for the last two birthday, such wonderful weather.

Grandpa sends Sam up for a slam dunk.

Grandmas talking about the grandkid.
Zach offers a hand when it comes to opening up the presents.

Sam checks out the scooter he got from Grandma and Grandpa.
I think the guitar tops the list of presents this year. Thank you Bookers.
Playing a riff for Grandpa.

Taking in a ride with the boys from the hood.

Visit from Grandma McGraw (Dahma Draw) in April

It is always so nice when family comes to visit. My mom was here for almost 2 weeks. My brother was going to run the Boston Marathon this year with the 'Armed Forces' but didn't get his confirmation until a week before the race (not enough time to train for a 26 mile run), so he didn't end up running it. It was a bummer, because we were all looking forward to spending some time with him (mom included). Anyway, we had a nice visit. Sam loves being with Grandma, he really enjoys the time they spend together, he pulls him around everywhere he goes.

We bought a membership to the Boston Children's Museum, so we took
Grandma there to check it out. Sam had fun exploring the sand table.

We also made our way to Weir River Farm to check out the horsies and other animals.
Sam and Grandma check out Sam's horesie friends.

Grandma learns the "Sam rules" for "hoops ball"

My mom was here for the 2nd birthday too, I will post pictures to that soon.

Boom Boom Pow!

When Jay.T was here in February, I took him to a Black Eyed Peas concert. We had a blast. Here are so shots from the show. We had front row seats in the "cheap seats" they weren't bad. Jay.T would be upset if I didn't post a picture of Fergie ... this is the best picture we got.

Enjoying the show.
Ludicrous opened up the show.
We grabbed a bite to eat at The Hard Rock Cafe before the show.
Killing time on the train ride into Boston ... Self Portrait Silliness.

The photo ops before we left the house ... thought we'd forget to take pictures while we were out ... that wasn't the case.
Jay. T will be happy to see this video posted ... it is almost the entire song BOOM BOOM POW (kind of our theme song for now), no song will ever be quite as powerful as Gangsters Paradise. Anyway, if you have patience to listen/watch the video in it's entirety you will here me rocking out to the song. By the way, the concert was AWESOME!
