Were baaaack!!!!

So it has been a while - almost 2 years since my last blog post.  Life has truly been more busy than I could ever imagine and sadly my monthly/sometime weekly posts were getting more and more delinquent.  Then one day you wake up and it has been 2 years.  I spent the good part of this morning reading over the blog and at times tears welled up in my eyes from all of the wonderful memories that I have since forgotten were right in front of my face with pictures too.  I am realizing just how important having something like this will be, especially as time passes.  I would love to spend more time "blogging".  Playing catch up may be challenging. My goal is going to be to move forward in 2014 and then splash in some of the last two years in.  The good thing is I didn't stop taking pictures.  Here we go!

It's a Girl Thing - Hanging out at school

I have to share some of the things that Ali's teachers are saying about her on her day sheets ....

From her day sheet on 5/24/2012

Activities I explored:   Alison danced with Miss. Michelle this morning.  She pretended to talk on the phone and we went for a walk.

Child's Accomplishments:  Clapping along to songs, laughing with friends and teachers.

From her day sheet on 5/25/2012

Activities I explored:  Alison finished her butterfly, she pretented to talk on the phone and shared it with a friend.  Alison played outside on the playground.

Child's Accomplishments: Explored with paint, shared toys with friends

October Happenings -

I have come to terms with the fact that I will never be ahead of the game again, I will always be right on time or late - no matter how much I plan and no matter how organized I am. And I think I am OK with that.

Our whole family participated in the 2nd Annual Anchor Race.
Sam and Brendan stretched for the kids race.

On your mark, get set, GO!!!!

Getting replenished after the big race.

Daddy gets warmed up for the 4.2 mile run.

At the starting line ... I pushed the crew, I will say an additional 60 pounds.

Sis gets ready for a nice nap. "Wake me up at the finish line."

2 miles left!

Later that day, Lilly stopped by the house for a visit.

Lilly gets up close ... Ali is not too sure about her?
The following weekend we went to find a pumpkin. We stopped at Chili's for lunch first.

Bog Hollow Farm - Sam checks out the old fire truck.

Hayride to the pumpkin patch.

Attempted family self portrait.

Hay maze

Peek a Boo

What a silly kid.

Mini portrait session in the pumpkin patch.

Look out Sis! Sneak Attack!

The kids and I went to the Patten twins (Stephen and Lillian)1st birthday party. Sis made a new friend and loved playing in the balls.

It wouldn't be FALL unless we went to Penniman Farm to visit the goats and donkeys.
Another old fire truck. Sam is fascinated with driving.

After the farm we went to the Meagher's house to soak up more of the Fall Sunshine. Kiera and Ali look on as the boys play in the drive way.
It is hard to believe we are well into the fall in Massachusetts and the little ladies are still in sun dresses.

Little Hot Rod

We are starting to love the days that we stay in our PJ's all day! Especially Sam. My Grammy always had a rule when I was a little girl that if you are still in your jammies at noon, you'd have to keep them on ALL DAY. We loved that. Anyway, the 3 of us went camping in the living room. Sleeping bags, tents, flashlights, you name it and we were ready for camping.

Sis gets brave, looking into the tunnel.

Once she tried it - She loved it! We could get her out.

We had a fun day!
