FUN Friday Adventures to date

This summer, after I went back to work from maternity leave with Ali I took every Friday as a vacation day. A day to spend with the kids doing something fun and possible something we hadn't done before. Here are some of our Friday adventures.

On our first Friday adventure, Sam and I went to the movies. This was the first time Sam had ever been to a theatre. We called it Mommy and Sam date night and we went to see CARS 2. It was nice night out with just the two of us.

Sam got popcorn and red licorice. At first he had a hard time sharing. He loved the movie and sat through almost all of it.

A lot of our little adventures involved our friends Heather, Brendan and Kiera. The ladies spend a lot of the time catching up on their beauty sleep.

Sis sports a new 2 piece shorty set.

The boys and their little sisters. We had lunch with our friends after gymnastics class.

We took advantage of one of the FREE FRIDAY offers and headed down to Plimoth Plantation on a VERY soggy, wet, rainy, muddy Friday. We had a blast with our friends Zach, Abe and Eliana.

Sam loved that the cow was wearing shoes.

The little tour guide.

The boys check out the homes of the Native Americans.

Photo opportunity with a local. We got a really nice history lesson, I think Lisa and I appreciated it more than the boys ... for now at least.

Building a new house.

Woodworking Shop

Impressive wood pile ... need to stay warm in the cold New England winters.

Sis enjoys munching on her fist as she watches her brother run around. It seems like all of her pictures are taken in the car seat ... I promise I do take her out of that thing, it is just hard to capture pictures of her while I am holding her.

Checking out all the cool things in Pilgrim Village.

Sawing Wood - seriously this one of Sam's favorite things to do right now. The boys sat and watched these guys for at least 30 minutes and would have stayed longer if their sisters were happy.

I think I have video of this that I will add to the bottom of the post.

The kids had a great time that Friday. They were both asleep before we even got out of the parking lot. It is so AWESOME that we have Plimouth Plantation so close, it is such a great part of our history and our kids will be able to see it replicated - such a fun way to learn about our history.

Not sure what Sam was trying to do to Ali?

Cutie Pies.
That is a lot of loving for a little girl. Sam loves his little sister.
That's more like it ... how many tries should it take to get a good picture.

After all of the loving from her big brother she needed a nap.

Free bowling RULES. Sam and Brendan take in a few games before we go to visit with our horsey friends.
The shoes crack me up. Do 3 year olds really need them? Haha.
Picnic at the stables. Ali is dieing to explore right along side her brother.
The great outdoors, I can't think of a better place for a potty break.
On the hunt for treasures.

Time for a break. These two have alot of fun together.
One of our Fun Friday adventures took us to the Cape. This was by far the HOTTEST day of the summer. Grandma, Grandpa, Sam, Ali and I went to Crystal Lake to get some relief from the heat.

Sis watches from the beach area ... she just woke up.

The Meagher and Light clan head south to the Capron park and zoo. Friday wouldn't be the same without these guys ... we really have enjoyed our summer with them.

Feeding the llamas.

I think I was more impressed with the big cats than either of the boys ... totally cool.
We always seem to have a picnic on Friday. That is the best time for sis to take a nap.
Big hugs.
Crazy boys ... tackle eachother.

This is one of my favorites ... good times.

Heather and Kiera
