What a milestone for anyone who lives in or around Boston ... your first visit to Fenway. I got the boys tickets to the Futures at Fenway. The event is designed for families. There is a double header for local farm teams to play at Fenway, the tickets were affordable, the boys were very close to the field. Sam didn't know the difference on what teams were playing ... in fact, when you ask him who "our" baseball team is he says "The Sea Dogs" - very cute. The boys had a great day together. The bonded over rickshaw rides, popcorn and good baseball.

Marshfield Fair
Who doesn't love a good fair? Dan and I have been going to the Marshfield Fair every year since we have lived in MA, with of without kids. The first year that we went there had a monster truck show, it has not made it back since. By the way WE LOVE MONSTER TRUCK SHOWS. This year the big show was Motor Cross. Sam has been a bit obsessed with motorcycles lately so we thought he would enjoy the show. The boy was mesmerized ... he loved it and has not stopped talking about it since.
Dan started the evening off right with an Italian Sausage ... yes it is the cheapest one in the fairgrounds, he gets one here every year - sometimes two.

This little boy was in heaven just knowing that a motor cross bike existed that was just his size. He was hesitant to get on it at first, then it was hard to pull him off it. In fact, we had to stop and make sure it was still there before we left the fair that night.
There is something about visiting the livestock barns that reminds of being a kid. I was such a city girl, but spent some of my summers in Ohio where ALL of cousins were in 4H and showed steer. We spend a lot of time at the Auglaize county fair. Such found memories. This fair doesn't hold a candle to the Auglaize, but it is fun to check out the cows, horses and other livestock.

One of our favorite people in the whole wide world came to visit us for an extra long, extra fun weekend. Rae Rae came to Massachusetts and boy did we have fun.
