Dining Room Window

We only have a few more things to finish before the first floor of our house is complete ... Windows being one of them. Our goal is to finish the windows before winter sets in, as of now we are right on track. We have replaced the dining room window as you will see in the pictures, there is only one window left to be replaced (coming this fall). Anyway, there was a bit more prep work that needed to be done with this window - such as taking the steps from the old back door out and prepping for cedar shingle siding. Check out my husbands handy work below. Have I ever mentioned how blessed I am to have such a handy, wonderful husband I have.
"The Foreman" of the project is taking a Popsicle break.

The boys are taking out the stairs.

Getting a little help from Mike - deciding if they will rip out the rest of the stairs with Mikes "beastly" pick up truck.

The guys deciding what comes next? How many guys does it take?

Dan's parents came down for the weekend. We had a nice time. Dan and his dad installed the new window on the side of the house, they got a lot of the siding on too - they had a very productive weekend.

Dan enjoys working on projects with his Dad. Bonding time.

This is where the old door was when we bought the house, we closed it up and made the kitchen a bit bigger (more cabinets). You'd never know the door was there from the inside and now with new shingles, you'd never know from the outside.

Power tools.

The window is in.

Ready for the shingles.
"Foreman" taking a lunch break with his biggest fan "Luke" or as he says llllllllllllgggggggggkkk.

Window from the inside - there is so much more light now.
Afro boy ready for a nap! He has had enough.

Checking in on the guys outside - making sure they are staying productive after he wakes up from a nap.
